Tripod Loses a Loved One
No sooner had the family arrived at their new home in Oregon than a black and white neighbor cat started harassing Quadpod, little brother of Tripod, the three-legged cat. The black and white cat challenged him for the position of Dominant Tough Cat of the Neighborhood. Though Quadpod fought back, he much preferred his previous role of Playful Kitten of the Yard. He became thoroughly exhausted with the ongoing battle and finally crawled under the deck and died.
Tripod misses sleeping with his little brother and has vowed revenge. A responsible citizen of the world, Tripod refuses to harm the people of the neighboring cat's place, rather he directs his vengeance at the perpetrator of the evil: the black and white cat. Though catching him and bringing him to justice could take many years, Tripod knows that he must persist for the good of his homeland.
